Rates
Handyman jobs typically involve less than 10 hours of labor (up to $1000 of labor)
Ex/ installing shelving, repairing an appliance, hanging blinds, sheetrock repair, etc.
LABOR RATES:
For carpentry, painting, general handyman items:
- $85 minimum charge for first hour of each service call
- $60 per hour for each additional hour (in 30 minute increments)
- $100 per hour for service calls after 5pm on weekdays, and on weekends
- 30% markup on all materials we provide
For electrical:
- $188 minimum charge for first hour of each service call
- $100 per hour for each additional hour (in 30 minute increments)
For plumbing:
- $154 minimum charge for first hour of each service call
- $128 per hour for each additional hour (in 30 minute increments)
WHAT IS INCLUDED:
- We bill for time to pick-up and deliver material
- We bill for time to make calls and/or coordinate ordering materials, research, gathering information / troubleshooting, problem solving (ex/ locating a part for washing machine, matching paint colors, etc.)
HOW BILLING WORKS:
- Invoices will be sent via email within one business day of completion of the project
- Payment can be made via:

Small multi-day projects are task-specific jobs that involve a single task that spans over multiple days. They are typically $1000 - $10,000 in labor.
Examples: building a deck, interior / exterior painting, residing a portion of a house, etc.
BID INFO:
Rate:
- $85 + tax per bid to be paid at conclusion of consultation appointment
- 50% to be refunded when the project is invoiced
What is included:
- An hour-long professional consultation with one of our experienced project managers to go over the scope of the project
- A written, detailed quote that explains the scope of work, the variables that might influence cost, material options based on the budget discussed with the customer (product price is subject to change according to customer preference and availability)
- A written quote to be emailed to customer within 2 business days of consultation
Why we charge for our bids:
- The old adage is true: you get what you pay for. Charging for our bids means we can take the time to give your project the attention it deserves. The charge frees us up to do any necessary product research and / or problem solving so we can present you with a reasonable and efficient plan for your project. We can provide costs that are much more accurate and reflective of the specifics of your particular project. You can be much more confident that the quote you receive from us will be a real representation of the work.
- If we didn’t charge for the bid, we couldn’t afford to do a detailed analysis of your project, and would only be able to provide very rough numbers that are much more likely to change.

Remodels are large multi-day projects that require multiple trades, and generally include a design component. They typically cost over $10,000.
Examples: additions, bathroom remodels, kitchen remodels, building out a basement, new construction

- $85 per bid to be paid at conclusion of consultation appointment
What is included:
- An hour-long professional consultation with one of our experienced project managers to go over the scope of the project. Includes taking measurements, high-level discussion of materials preferences, and discussion of the budget.
- A written, high-level quote that explains the scope of work. Includes ranges of costs for various areas / tasks. Includes description of variables that might influence cost.
- A written quote to be emailed to customer within 2 business days of consultation
- Detailed instructions on the next steps of the process personalized for each customer’s project

WHAT’S NEXT?
- After the high level bid, the next step is to develop a design and select material
- Design can be done by the customer, by a designer hired by the customer, or by a designer retained by Monet
- Depending on the project, a designer AND an architect may be needed
- Architects and structural engineers are required if walls are moved
